High Performance Running is carefully structured for the competitive athlete. We will build upon your current ability, to maximise your performance levels. We aim to cover all areas using training methods employed and refined by the best athletes and coaches in the world.
‘High Performance Running’ is for runners and triathletes looking to run and train at the highest standard possible.
Our Goals are:
• Increased strength; develop total body strength to increase running performance and ability at an advanced level. Flexibility is a function of strength and will also be trained.
• Increased leg speed; Advanced development quickness and agility.
• Understand structured training; learn how to develop a full training program to develop all areas of running performance.
• Aerobic & Anaerobic development; train over intervals and sustained distances to develop significant performance gains. We will increase you running efficiency, oxygen uptake and tolerance to sustained speed and effort.
Course Requirements:
• Participants should be active runners.
• Participants are encouraged to train individually in addition to the lessons.
• Participants are encouraged to attend one or two times per week.
